The LSU Tigers Softball team has been a powerhouse in the Southeastern Conference since its inception in 1997. The team is led by head coach Beth Torina, who has been at the helm for over a decade and has led the Tigers to numerous SEC Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances. The Tigers have had some of the most successful players in college softball history, including All-Americans Amber Serrett, Bianka Bell, and Sahvanna Jaquish. The Tigers play their home games at Tiger Park on LSU's campus in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The stadium is one of the best facilities in all of the college softball and provides an amazing atmosphere for fans to cheer on their team. The Tigers have also developed rivalries with other SEC teams such as Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi State. The Tigers have won multiple awards throughout their history, including five SEC regular season championships (2008-2012) and four SEC tournament championships (2009-2012).
They have also made nine NCAA tournament appearances (2003-2011), with their best finish being a Super Regional appearance in 2011. The 2023 season will be an exciting one for the Tigers as they look to make another run at an SEC championship and possibly even a College World Series appearance.
