The band consists of Alex Moore (vocals/guitar), Jake Smith (bass guitar), Joe Sykes (guitar/backing vocals), and Andy Jones (drums). Since forming in 2017, the band has released two studio albums, A Hero's Death and Everything You've Heard is True, as well as two EPs. They have also gained recognition for their live performances, including appearances at festivals such as Reading & Leeds and Glastonbury. The Lathums' debut single "I See Your Ghost" was released in 2017 and quickly became a fan favorite. This was followed by their debut EP The Great Depression in 2018, which featured the singles "The Same Things" and "Victoria". The band's first full-length album A Hero's Death was released in 2020 to critical acclaim. Their second album Everything You've Heard is True was released in 2021 and featured the singles "My Love Will Not Let You Down" and "Walk Like a Man". The Lathums have achieved considerable success since their formation, with their music being featured on radio stations such as BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Radio X, KEXP Seattle, and Triple J Australia. They have also won several awards including Best New Band at the NME Awards 2021. In addition to their musical accomplishments, they have become ambassadors for mental health awareness charities such as CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably). 2023 will see The Lathums embark on a world tour with dates across Europe, North America, and Australia.
