The Chicago Blitz was a professional American football team that played in the United States Football League in the mid-1980s. The team played its home games at Soldier Field in Chicago.
The Blitz were one of the league's most successful teams, winning the Eastern Division in 1983 and 1984. The team was coached by former NFL head coach George Allen and featured several former NFL players, including quarterback Mike Hohensee and defensive end Al Harris.
The Blitz ceased operations after the 1984 USFL season. Some of the team's players went on to have successful careers in the NFL, including Harris and linebacker Otis Wilson.
