The Virginia Cavaliers basketball team is a storied program with a long and proud history. That same year saw Justin Anderson win ACC Player of the Year honors while Malcolm Brogdon was named National Player of the Year.
In 2019-20 they advanced to their second Final Four before falling to eventual champions Auburn University Tigers in overtime due to their heroics on both ends of the floor from their star guards Kihei Clark and Ty Jerome who was later drafted into the NBA along with De’Andre Hunter being drafted 4th overall pick by Los Angeles Lakers during 2019 draft night. These accomplishments speak volumes to what this program is capable of achieving no matter who is wearing Cavalier colors on gameday or how tight races are come March madness times! Their legacy continues to be written each time they step foot onto the court for another season filled with excitement, memories, intensity, and pure competition.
