The Florida Gators men's basketball program proudly represents the University of Florida in NCAA Division I athletic competitions. The team is a proud member of the Southeastern Conference and plays its home games in Exactech Arena, located on campus at Stephen C. O'Connell Center in Gainesville, FL. The stadium is renowned for its spirited student section, dubbed the rambunctious “Rowdy Reptiles.” The Gators also have a storied history in the NCAA Basketball Tournament, making 27 appearances since 1986-87. They have enjoyed great success under Donovan, making four NCAA Tournament appearances in his tenure and winning the 2006-2007 National Championship with their coach Billy Donovan who was named National Coach of that Year. The team's current head coach is Mike White, who took over for Billy Donovan in 2015. Current players include KeVaughn Allen, Chris Chiozza, Devin Robinson and John Egbunu. They have also been ranked in the AP Top 25 for 11 consecutive seasons.
