Representing Baylor University in Waco, Texas, the Baylor Bears men's basketball team proudly competes at a Division I level within NCAA and Big 12 Conference play. They play their home games at the Ferrell Center on the Baylor University campus. Scott Drew currently leads the team to success. The 2019–20 season was a phenomenal one for the program, as they entered it ranked 16th in the nation. Though their first game resulted in an unexpected defeat against Washington at the Armed Forces Classic, this would be their solitary loss over 105 days! The Bears then went on to string together an impressive 23-game winning streak with six victories against nationally ranked opponents along the way - until finally yielding to another opponent on February 22nd.
On an extraordinary January 11th, Baylor achieved a historic feat by defeating #3 Kansas in Lawrence for the first time. Though this impressive start to their season ended somewhat disappointingly with three losses out of five college basketball games before the Big 12 tournament, they still finished off the regular season as 26-4 and 15–3 in conference play; both records being among some of their most victorious yet! Additionally, from 2020’s beginning to its end, Baylor remained atop 5 ranking spots - further evidencing its unyielding success throughout that year.
