The Louisiana Kickoff is scheduled to be an annual college football game played on the opening weekend of the college football season in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The game is currently sponsored by Walk-On's Bistreaux & Bar and pits the Southeastern Conference against the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
The inaugural game was played on September 2, 2017, between Grambling State University of the SWAC and the University of Arizona from the Pac-12 Conference. The game was won by Grambling State, 27–14.
In 2018, the game featured two new teams, Prairie View A&M University of the SWAC and the University of Houston from the American Athletic Conference. The game was again won by the SWAC team, this time by Prairie View A&M, 38–17.
The 2019 game will feature Southern University of the SWAC and the University of Texas at San Antonio from Conference USA.
The 2020 game will again match the SWAC against the SEC, this time with Jackson State University taking on Louisiana State University.
