If you're a fan of metal music, then you probably know about Parkway Drive. They're an Australian band that's been making waves in the metal scene for years now. And if you have the chance to see them live, you definitely should! Their concerts are something else. If you're thinking of going to see them, this article is for you. We'll be giving you a brief history of the band, and their music, and provide a few tips to help make the most of their concert.

Parkway Drive was formed in 2003 in Byron Bay, Australia. The band members are Winston McCall (vocals), Jeff Ling (lead guitar), Luke "Pig" Kilpatrick (rhythm guitar), Ben "Gaz" Gordon (drums), and Jia "Pie" O'Connor (bass). The group caught the attention of Michael Crafter, the vocalist of the metalcore band I Killed The Prom Queen, at their first show. The groups collaborated and released the I Killed the Prom Queen / Parkway Drive: Split CD in June 2003. The Split CD was well-received by the metal community and led to them signing with Resist Records.

Their debut album, Killing with a Smile, was released in 2005 to critical acclaim. The album's mix of heavy metal and hardcore punk was something new and fresh, and it quickly made Parkway Drive one of the most talked-about bands in the metal scene. The album's success led to them touring all over the world, including Europe, Japan, and the United States.

In 2007, they released their second album, Horizons. The album was even better than their debut, and it cemented Parkway Drive's place as one of the best metal bands in the world. They followed up Horizons with their third album, Deep Blue, in 2010. The album won the group an ARIA Award in 2010 for Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album. Their seventh studio album, Darker Still, was released on September 9, 2022.

Parkway Drive has cited Metallica, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Rage Against The Machine, and Faith No More as some of their main musical influences.

If you're planning on seeing Parkway Drive live, here are a few tips to help you make the most of their concert:

- Bring earplugs. This should be given for any metal concert, but it's especially important for Parkway Drive. Their music is deafening, and you don't want to damage your hearing.

- Be prepared to mosh. The pit is always a big part of Parkway Drive's live show, so be ready to get pushed around a bit!
