The National Dance Theatre Company (NDTC) is the premier dance company in Jamaica and one of the leading companies in the Caribbean. Founded in 1962, it has been a major force in the development of Jamaican culture, performing both traditional and contemporary dance styles. The NDTC has become known for its innovative approach to choreography, combining elements of classical ballet with modern jazz and African dance forms. In 2021, NDTC celebrates its 60th anniversary with a series of special events including an online retrospective exhibition showcasing highlights from its history as well as upcoming performances throughout the 2021–2022 season which was held at various venues across Jamaica such as Little Theatre in Kingston and Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre in St Andrew’s Parish. In 2023, they will embark on a world tour taking them across Europe before heading back home for a grand finale performance at National Stadium in Kingston Jamaica on December 2023!
