About MLL

Major League Lacrosse (MLL) was a men's field lacrosse league in the United States. The league's inaugural season was in 2001. The league featured six teams in two divisions, the Eastern Division and the Western Division. The MLL played a 14-game regular season schedule from April through August. The regular season began in early April and ended in late August. The MLL Playoffs were held in September, with the MLL Championship Game being played on the first Saturday of October.

The MLL was founded by Jake Steinfeld, Dave Morrow, and Tim Robertson. Steinfeld, Morrow, and Robertson were all former members of Major League Soccer's New York/New Jersey MetroStars organization.
