The Oklahoma State Cowboys Baseball team has been a staple of college baseball since its inception in 1908. The Cowboys play their home games at O'Brate Stadium, located on the OSU campus in Stillwater, and have won numerous awards throughout their history, including four Big 12 championships and two College World Series appearances. Over the years, the Cowboys have developed several rivalries with other teams in their conference, including Texas Tech, TCU, and Oklahoma. Currently leading the program is head coach Josh Holliday who took over in 2014 after Frank Anderson left for Texas A&M. Holliday has already made his mark on the program by leading them to five consecutive Big 12 titles and three straight trips to the NCAA Super Regionals.
The Cowboys are led by some of college baseball's top players such as outfielder Carson McCusker who was named Big 12 Player of the Year last season after hitting .369 with 15 home runs; starting pitcher Cade Cabiness who had a 3.23 ERA last season; first baseman Trevor Boone who had 14 home runs and 47 RBIs last year; shortstop Andrew Navigato who batted .340 with 38 RBIs; and catcher Colin Simpson who had 11 home runs and 48 RBIs last season. As they look ahead to the 2023 season, Oklahoma State Cowboys Baseball will be looking to continue their success from recent years while also building on their rich history of excellence.
