The Florida State Seminoles Baseball team has been a powerhouse in college baseball for decades. Founded in 1947, the Seminoles have been playing baseball for over 70 years and have become one of the most successful programs in the country. The team plays its home games at Dick Howser Stadium, located on the Florida State University campus. The Seminoles are led by some of college baseball's top players such as outfielder Elijah Cabell who was named First Team All-ACC last season after hitting .322 with 12 home runs; pitcher CJ Van Eyk who had a 3.66 ERA last season; catcher Matheu Nelson who had a .948 fielding percentage last year; infielder Nander De Sedas who hit .337 with seven home runs; and pitcher Shane Drohan who had a 3.12 ERA last season.
