The Florida Gators baseball team is one of the most successful programs in college baseball. Founded in 1912, the Gators have been playing baseball for over a century and have become one of the most feared teams in the country. The team plays its home games at Alfred A. McKethan Stadium, located on the University of Florida campus in Gainesville, Florida. Over the years, the Gators have developed several rivalries with other teams in their conference, including LSU, Georgia, and South Carolina. O’Sullivan has already made his mark on the program by leading them to eight consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances from 2010-2017 and earning Coach of the Year honors from both SEC and American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). The Gators are led by some of college baseball's top players such as pitcher Tommy Mace who was named First Team All-SEC last season after throwing for 132 strikeouts; outfielder Jud Fabian who had a .341 batting average last season; catcher Nathan Hickey who hit 13 home runs last year; infielder Josh Rivera who had an impressive .988 fielding percentage; and pitcher Christian Scott who had a 1.91 ERA last season. As they look ahead to the 2023 season, Florida Gators Baseball will be looking to continue its success from recent years while also building on its rich history of excellence.
