On November 20, 2022 at 5 pm, Scott Hamilton & Friends will bring Olympians, World Champions, and National Champion Figure Skaters to Bridgestone Arena for a family-friendly all-star performance alongside well-known musicians. The Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation honors innovative cancer research through a once-in-a-lifetime musical ice skating experience, with an after show featuring live entertainment, dinner, dessert stations, and more.

The oldest known ice skating area was discovered in Finland's Lunkula village, where archaeologists found a pairs of skates made from animal bone and hide dating back to around 3,000 years ago.
Skates were originally made from sharpened animal bones strapped to the feet for traction. The first metal-bladed skates were invented in the Netherlands in the 13th century. These skates had a narrow blade with a length of about 9 inches (23 cm).
