Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox, or PMJ as it is more commonly known, is a rotating musical collective founded by New York-based pianist Scott Bradlee in 2011. Since its inception, the group has released nine studio albums and toured the world extensively. The concept for PMJ was born when Scott Bradlee began to experiment with rearranging popular songs into different genres such as ragtime, swing, and jazz. This style of music was an instant hit with audiences and soon enough, Scott had created his unique sound that he called "Postmodern Jukebox". The group has since become one of the most successful acts in contemporary music history. PMJ has released nine studio albums over the years, including their debut album "Introducing Postmodern Jukebox" which was released in 2013. The album featured their signature re-imagining of popular post modern jukebox songs from the past century and included covers of classics such as "I Will Survive", "Rolling In The Deep" and "Uptown Funk". Their second album titled "Swipe Right For Vintage" came out in 2015 and featured some of their most popular covers to date including "All About That Bass", "Shake It Off" and "Bad Romance". In addition to their studio albums, PMJ has also won several awards throughout their career. These include a Grammy Award for Best Arrangement Instrumental or A Cappella for their cover of Radiohead's song "Creep". They have also been nominated for numerous other awards including two Billboard Music Awards for Top Dance/Electronic Albums for both Introducing Postmodern Jukebox (2013) and Swipe Right For Vintage (2015). Scott Bradlee's post modern jukebox will be embarking on a 2023 pmj tour later this year. Fans can expect to hear some of their favorite classic covers reimagined in new styles such as ragtime, swing, and jazz. They will also be performing some original material from their upcoming studio album set to be released later this year. So don’t miss your chance to see one of the most innovative acts in modern music live on stage! To commemorate their tenth anniversary, Scott Bradlee and the Postmodern Jukebox collective will go on a North American tour. The "10" tour is scheduled to launch on February 8, 2024 in Salem, Oregon, and end on April 2 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Prior to starting their anniversary tour, Postmodern Jukebox will play a series of concerts in New Jersey as part of their "Life in the Past Lane" tour, including dates on December 5 in Morristown and December 21 in Red Bank. In addition, this tour will mark Postmodern Jukebox's 1,000th performance in 2024. Bradlee started publishing weekly videos on YouTube, which is how Postmodern Jukebox got started. Most were recorded in Bradlee's apartment living room, but as the band began to cover songs by musicians like Lada Gaga and Katy Perry, the settings become more complex. As word of the posters' success spread, the band began touring, drawing ever-larger crowds. Don’t miss out on this Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox 2023 tour!
