Scott Bradlee is an American musician, producer, and entrepreneur. He is best known as the founder and leader of Postmodern Jukebox, a band that covers contemporary pop hits in the style of various vintage genres including swing, jazz, ragtime, and blues. Bradlee was born in New Jersey and began playing piano at the age of four. He went on to study jazz performance at the University of Hartford's Hartt School, where he graduated with honors in 2002. In 2009, Bradlee launched Postmodern Jukebox as a solo project, releasing videos of himself and various collaborators performing covers of contemporary pop hits in the style of various vintage genres including swing, jazz, ragtime, and blues. The project quickly gained popularity, amassing a following of millions of fans across social media platforms.
In 2012, Bradlee formed a band consisting of a revolving lineup of musicians to tour internationally in support of Postmodern Jukebox's growing success. To date, Postmodern Jukebox has released four albums, all of which have peaked in the top 5 on the Billboard Jazz charts. In addition to his work with Postmodern Jukebox, Bradlee has also produced and arranged tracks for other artists including Scott Weiland, Kelly Clarkson, and Meghan Trainor. He's also appeared on major television shows like The Voice, Today Show, and Ellen Degeneres helped produce music for film soundtracks including La La Land, and collaborated with some of music’s biggest stars including Ariana Grande, The Roots, John Legend, and Sam Smith.
