Hiroshima's best-known song is "One Wish", which peaked at number eight on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart in 1988. Hiroshima was formed in 1974 by Dan Kuramoto, June Yamagishi, John Kane, Danny Yamamoto, and Steve Huff. The band's music is a fusion of Japanese instruments and American jazz and pop. Hiroshima's first album, Hiroshima, was released in 1978. The band's second album, Another Place, was released in 1985. Hiroshima has toured the United States and Japan extensively. The band has performed at venues such as the Hollywood Bowl and the Montreux Jazz Festival. Hiroshima has been nominated for four Grammy Awards, winning one in 1990 for Best World Music Album for East.
