Subsonic Eye is a musical collaboration between Daniel Castro Borces and Nur Wahidah, a whose shared passion for similar music genres led to the band's creation in 2015. What started as simply writing songs for personal amusement gradually developed into something more.
The name Subsonic Eye is a play on the word "subconscious", as it reflects the duo's aim to create music that touches on the more emotional and spiritual aspects of life. Their songs often explore topics such as love, loss, and hope, with a focus on trying to find beauty in difficult situations.
The band's sound can be described as a mix of indie rock and dream pop, with a dash of shoegaze and electronica thrown in for good measure. They make use of both traditional and unconventional instruments, as well as various electronic effects, to create their unique soundscape.
