Allison began writing and recording her own music in high school, releasing albums independently on Bandcamp before signing to Fat Possum Records in 2017. Her debut album Collection was released in 2018, followed by Clean in 2020. Allison has been praised for her songwriting abilities, as well as her lyrical frankness regarding anxiety and mental health.
