Jamie T is an English singer, songwriter, rapper, guitarist, and record producer from Wimbledon, South London. T's musical style is a mix of punk rock, indie, hip hop, and ska. His debut album, Panic Prevention (2007), was released to critical acclaim and commercial success. It was nominated for the 2007 Mercury Prize. In 2009, T won Best Solo Male Artist at the NME Awards. Jamie T's second album, Kings & Queens (2009), reached number two on the UK Albums Chart and spawned the top 20 singles "Sticks 'n' Stones" and "Hocus Pocus". In 2013, T released his third album, Carry on the Grudge, which peaked at number four on the UK Albums Chart. Jamie T has released four EPs: Jamie T (2005), Bakery (2006), Jenny Was a Friend of Mine (2007), and Calm Down Dearest (2009). He has also appeared in the films London to Brighton (2006) and Son of Rambow (2007).

The EP sold out within two weeks of its release and helped him gain a following among the music press. His first two singles, "Back in the Game" and "Ike and Tina", were both released on limited edition 7" vinyl. In 2007, Jamie T's debut album, Panic Prevention, was released to critical acclaim and commercial success.
