About Whethan
Ethan Snoreck, better known as Whethan, is an American DJ and music producer from Chicago. He is best known for his work with electronic dance music, particularly in the trance and future bass genres.
Snoreck began his musical career at the age of 16, when he started producing remixes of popular songs under the name Ethan Snoreck. He gained popularity after releasing his remix of "XO Tour Llif3" by Lil Uzi Vert, which accumulated over 100 million streams on Spotify. He has since released numerous singles, remixes, and collaborations with other artists, including Alison Wonderland, Porter Robinson, Louis the Child, and G-Eazy.
In 2018, Snoreck released his debut studio album, Life of a Wallflower Vol. 1. The album peaked at number 18 on the US Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
Snoreck is currently signed to Atlantic Records and Big Beat Records. He has released music on a variety of different labels, including Monstercat, OWSLA, and Ultra Music.
Whethan attended Carl Sandburg High School from freshman to first semester of senior year. At his senior homecoming, he previewed unreleased work to classmates.
In an interview with NME, Whethan cited Flume and Porter Robinson as his main musical inspirations.
Whethan has performed at music festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, and Tomorrowland. He has also toured with artists such as Louis the Child, Illenium, and Seven Lions.
In 2019, Whethan was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording for his song "Good Nights" with Dua Lipa.
Whethan is set to release his second studio album in 2020.
