Stevie B is a multi-platinum, award-winning singer and songwriter who has been making music for more than 30 years. Born Steven Bernard Hill in Miami, Florida in 1958, Stevie B rose to fame in the late 1980s with his debut album, In My Eyes. The album spawned several hit singles including "Dreamin' of Love," which peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was certified platinum by the RIAA. His follow-up single, "I Wanna Be the One," was also a major hit and earned him an American Music Award nomination for Favorite Soul/R&B Single of the Year. In 1990, Stevie B released his second album, Party Your Body, which featured the top 10 single "Because I Love You (The Postman Song)." The song was certified triple platinum and earned him a Grammy Award nomination for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. He followed up with his third album, Love & Emotion in 1991. This album included three top 10 hits: "Love Me for Life," "It's So Good" and "In My Eyes." All three songs were certified gold by the RIAA.
Throughout his career, Stevie B has released twelve studio albums and numerous compilations that have sold millions of copies worldwide. He has won numerous awards including two American Music Awards for Favorite Soul/R&B Male Artist and Favorite Soul/R&B Single of the Year; four BMI Awards; one Grammy Award nomination; two People's Choice Awards; one Soul Train Music Award; two Top Latin Albums Awards; one Top Latin Pop Albums Award; and five Top Latin Songs Awards.
