Julian Michael Scanlan, professionally known as Slushii, is an American musician, DJ, singer, songwriter, and record producer based in Los Angeles. He has worked with various artists managed by Moe Shalizi such as Marshmello, Ookay, and Jauz. Skrillex, a notable musician, and Owsla-record label founder discovered and supported Slushii early on in his career.
In 2016, he released his debut extended play (EP), Emptiness inside. This was followed by a single, "Catch Me", and his sophomore EP, Out of Light, in 2017. His debut studio album, Dream II, was released in 2019.
Slushii's musical style has been described as future bass and melodic dubstep. He often uses high-pitched vocal samples in his songs.
In 2017, Slushii released his second EP, Out of Light. The EP featured the singles "Catch Me" and "Luv U Need U". "Catch Me" peaked at number 1 on the US Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
In 2019, Slushii released his debut studio album, Dream II. The album featured the singles "Dumps like a Truck", "Watch Yo Back" and "Make Me Feel".
Slushii has toured with Skrillex, Marshmello, Zedd, Diplo, and other notable DJs. He has performed at music festivals such as Coachella, Ultra Music Festival, and Tomorrowland.
