Roosevelt is a German singer, songwriter, and producer from Viersen. He is signed to Greco-Roman. His music has been described as "a mix of disco, house, and pop." His first project was Beat!Beat!Beat!, an indie teenage band where he was the drummer. Years later the band separated and he became a soloist. Roosevelt's debut album, Roosevelt, was released in 2016. The album was a critical and commercial success, reaching number one on the German charts and being named one of the best albums of the year by Pitchfork. It also spawned the hit single "Moving On," which was a top ten hit in Germany. His follow-up album, Young Romance reached number two on the German charts. It includes the singles "Hold On" and "Belong." Roosevelt has also released a number of EPs, including Sea (2015), Night Moves (2017), and Roosevelt Live (2018). He has toured extensively throughout Europe and North America. In 2018, Roosevelt won the Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album for his album Young Romance.
