Monsta X is a South Korean boy group formed through the reality survival program No.Mercy under Starship Entertainment. The group is composed of seven members: Wonho, Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M. Their debut EP Trespass was released on May 14, 2015.
Monsta X debuted on May 14, 2015 with the EP Trespass including the lead single "Trespass". The group's second EP Rush was released on September 7 and peaked at number 3 on the Billboard World Albums chart. The album included the singles "Rush" and "Deja Vu". On March 21, 2016, Monsta X released their first Japanese maxi single "Hero", which debuted at number 3 on the Oricon weekly chart.

On February 17, 2017, Monsta X released their second full-length album The Clan Pt. 2: Guilty including the lead single "Fighter". The album debuted at number 4 on the Billboard 200, making it the highest-charting K-pop album on the chart at the time. On June 19, 2017, Monsta X released their first studio album Beautiful in South Korea. The album includes the lead single "Beautiful".
On February 19, 2018, Monsta X released their third full-length album The Clan Pt. 2.5: The Final Chapter including the lead single "Jealousy". The album debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200, making it the highest-charting K-pop album on the chart at the time.
On October 22, 2018, Monsta X released their fourth EP Are You There? including the lead single "Shoot Out". The EP debuted at number 36 on the Billboard 200, making it the highest-charting K-pop album on the chart at the time.
On March 27, 2019, Monsta X released their fifth EP foil including the lead single "Alligator". The EP debuted at number 49 on the Billboard 200, making it the highest-charting K-pop album on the chart at the time.
On September 16, 2019, Monsta X released their second studio album Take.1: Are You There? including the lead single "Find You". The album debuted at number 21 on the Billboard 200, making it the highest-charting K-pop album on the chart at the time.
On March 2, 2020, Monsta X released their sixth EP All About Luv including the lead single "Someone's Someone". The EP debuted at number 5 on the Billboard 200, making it the highest-charting K-pop album on the chart at the time.
