Lewis OfMan is a french musician, singer and songwriter living in Berlin, Germany.
Lewis was born in Nancy, France in 1984. After moving to Paris in 2001 to study music, he began his career as a professional musician, playing keyboards in various bands and working as a studio musician. In 2009, he moved to Berlin to pursue his solo career.
The French artist, composer, and producer, who is only 19 years old, has written music for some of the hottest catwalk presentations during Paris Fashion Week, including Sonia Rykiel, Afterhomework, and Maison Sentinel. Thanks to his debut solo EP "Yo Bene," which is available at the concept boutique Colette, Ofman is currently the talk of Paris.
During an interview, when asked what is the inspiration of the song Yo Bene he answered "I would say that ’70s Italian film soundtracks are a huge influence for my music. This is where you can find the most beautiful and touching melodies. The soul and funk music are also very important for me, all my childhood was rocked by this type of music because my father is very found of it."
Lewis's music is a mix of pop, rock, and electronic. His debut album, "The City" was released in 2012. The album was recorded in Berlin and produced by Ofman himself.
"The City" is a collection of songs about love, loss, and hope. The first single from the album, "Berlin", is a catchy pop song with an uplifting message. The second single, "Lost in the City", is a more mellow track that reflects on the struggles of life in the city.
