Kx5 is a musical duo made up of Kaskade and Deadmau5. They have released two songs together, "I Remember" and "Beneath with Me". Kaskade is an American DJ and producer of electronic dance music. He has produced eight albums, including two Grammy-nominated studio albums. His 2013 album Atmosphere was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronica Album. Kaskade was born in Chicago, raised nearby in Northbrook, and went to Glenbrook North High School. He used to travel to Chicago's Clark Street Gramaphone Records as a teenager to buy music. Rich Raddon, his brother, rose to success as an entrepreneur and movie producer. At a club named Club Manhattan in a basement, Raddon started spinning records at his first regular Monday night party in 1995. He bought studio necessities with this extra money. Raddon and his wife relocated to San Francisco in May 2000, where Raddon worked as John Elkins' assistant in A&R at the house and electronic label Om Records. He has produced six albums, including the Grammy-nominated album 4×4=12. He is also the founder of the mau5trap record label. Canada's Niagara Falls, Ontario, is where Zimmerman was born. His father, Rodney Thomas "Rod" Zimmerman, works at a General Motors assembly plant, and his mother, Nancy (née Johnson), is a visual artist. His two siblings are Chris and Jennifer, the elder (younger). He has German, Swiss, and English ancestors. As a youngster, he received his first keyboard for Christmas. With the Impulse Tracker, he started his musical career in the late 1990s with a sound influenced by chiptune and demoscene movements. Kx5's first song "I Remember" was released on Deadmau5's album random album title. The song was a hit, reaching number one on the Beatport charts. "Beneath with Me" was released on Kaskade's album Atmosphere. Kx5 has been nominated for two Grammy Awards, one for Best Dance Recording and one for Best Dance/Electronica Album.
