Cobra Starship is an American pop-rock band formed in 2005 by lead singer and bassist Gabe Saporta. The band's music style has been described as a mix of synth-pop, punk rock, and alternative dance. After forming in New York City, Cobra Starship released their debut album While the City Sleeps, We Rule the Streets in 2006. In 2013, Cobra Starship released its fifth studio album Night Shades: Unplugged which included acoustic versions of songs from their previous albums as well as some new material. Their sixth studio album Never Been In Love was released in 2014 and featured guest vocals from Icona Pop and Giorgio Moroder among others. The single “Never Been In Love” reached number one on both US Dance Radio Airplay Chart and US Dance Club Songs Chart making it their most successful single to date. Since then, they have gone on tour around the world performing at festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, Warped Tour, Reading Festival, Fuji Rock Festival, etc. Cobra Starship is currently preparing for their 2023 tour dates across Europe and North America to promote their upcoming seventh studio album titled ‘A Million Miles Away’ which is set to be released later this year.
