Andrew Bazzi known mononymously by his surname, Bazzi is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known for his single "Mine", which peaked at number 11 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Bazzi was born and raised in Dearborn, Michigan. His father is from Lebanon and his mother is from Detroit. He has two brothers, Ali and Danny. Bazzi began playing guitar when he was 13 years old and started posting song covers on YouTube when he was 15. He graduated from North High School in Dearborn Heights, Michigan in 2014.
In February 2017, Bazzi self-released his debut EP, titled "Spark". The lead single from the EP, "Sober", peaked at number 79 on the Billboard Hot 100. In April 2018, Bazzi released his second EP, "Cosmic", which included the single "Mine". "Mine" peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 in October 2018.
In February 2019, Bazzi won the MTV Push Artist of the Year award.
Bazzi collaborated on the songwriting for two of SM Entertainment's boy bands, EXO and NCT Dream, with the K-pop entertainment firm. He collaborated with Mark, a member of NCT Dream, to write "We Go Up" for the EP We Go Up. He penned "The Eve," "Ooh La La La," and "Oasis," all with EXO, for the studio albums The War and Don't Mess Up My Tempo, respectively. For his studio album Namanana, he also co-wrote the song "Give Me a Chance" with Chinese singer and Exo member Lay Zhang.
