LCD Soundsystem is an American rock band from Brooklyn, New York, formed in 2002 by James Murphy, co-founder of DFA Records. They are well-known for their unique blend of dance music and indie rock. The band consists of James Murphy (vocals/guitar), Pat Mahoney (drums), Nancy Whang (keyboards/vocals), Tyler Pope (bass/guitar), and Gavin Russom (synthesizers). Since the release of their debut album “LCD Soundsystem” in 2005, LCD Soundsystem has been gaining a large fan base around the world.
