Dominic Richard Harrison known professionally as Yungblud is an English singer, musician, songwriter, and actor. He is best known for his unconventional musical style which blends elements of alternative rock, pop, punk, and hip-hop. He was born in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. He first developed an interest in music at the age of five when he received a drum kit from his father. He began playing in various local bands as a teenager and eventually dropped out of college to pursue a career in music. He self-released his debut EP, Supernatural, in 2016. The following year he signed a record deal with Locomotion Recordings and released his second EP, Life on Mars. His debut album, 21st Century Liability, was released in 2018. Recently, Harrison composed the title track to his new album. He has cited several musical influences, including Nirvana, Blink-182, Green Day, and Lil Wayne. In May 2019, he released the single "I Think I'm OKAY", featuring Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker. The song peaked at number two on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart, making it his highest-charting single to date. In September 2019, he released his second studio album, Weird!, which debuted at number two on the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart and number four on the US Billboard Top Alternative Albums chart. He has won several awards, including two Kerrang! Awards, an NME Award, and an MTV Europe Music Award.
