Ween Band is one of the most iconic indie rock groups to ever emerge from the 90s alternative music scene. Additionally, they have also released numerous live albums including “Live from Chicago 1995” which showcased their greatest hits at that time. In addition to releasing great music, Ween Band has also achieved several noteworthy awards during its career. These include three Juno Awards for the best alternative album for both "12 Golden Country Greats" and "White Pepper", as well as one for best video for "Push th' Little Daisies". In 2004 they also won an Independent Music Award for Best Alternative Album for Quebec.
Perhaps most impressively however is the fact that Ween was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1998 for Best Alternative Music Performance with their version of Heatmiser's song "Pumpkin". Finally, Ween Band has gone on several memorable tours over the years playing hundreds of shows across North America and Europe. Their first tour saw them play shows all along the East Coast between 1988-1991 before they embarked on bigger headline dates throughout North America during 1993-94 promoting their breakthrough album Chocolate & Cheese. After supporting Primus on tour during 1996-97 they went back out headlining again throughout 1998-99 when they supported Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant's album "Walking into Clarksdale". Other notable tours include the 2002 Best Buy Tour where attendees could buy tickets to receive a copy of Quebec and another tour taking place in 2009 sponsored by Adult Swim featuring songs from White Pepper.
A few further rarities were included in Ween's 31-song performance. Only the sixth time was "Mango Woman" performed, but "Suckin' Blood From The Devil's Dick" continued its revival after making a comeback in 2022 after a 27-year absence. How High Can You Fly?, Seconds, "Polka Dot Tail," "Seconds," "Beacon Light," etc.Other songs from Ween's career that were performed last night included "Koko" and "Transitions," both of which have only been performed less than 60 times. Ween performed such favorites as "Roses Are Free," "I Can't Put My Finger On It," "Exactly Where I'm At," "Spinal Meningitis (Got Me Down)," "Pandy Facker," and "Don't Get 2 Close (2 My Fantasy)" during the event, which began with the opener "Piss Up A Rope." The band returned for a four-song encore that included "Bananas And Blow," "Big Jilm," the aforementioned "If You Love Me," and "You Fucked Up" after wrapping off their main set with the outstanding song on Pure Guava "Touch My Tooter."
