The new track "Before the Rain" by VNV Nation is out this year. Since "Noire" in 2018, Ronan Harris hasn't released any new music under the VNV Nation banner. A spring European tour and the single release are related events. The song, which as always has a distinctly anthem-like sound, is from the upcoming album "Electric Sun," which was initially scheduled for release in June 2022 but will now be published on Metropolis Records (North America) on April 14th. Before that, several singles will be published, the first of which is "Before the Rain" in mid-February. The new album will be released in a variety of formats, including a double vinyl LP in a regular and limited electric-blue vinyl edition, as well as a hardback CD book with a 20-page booklet with exclusive artwork, lyrics, and liner notes. Following that is a deluxe limited boxset with special artwork, a double vinyl record, a CD album, a 12" with two extended versions, a deluxe 44-page hardback book with artwork by the band's longtime collaborators Rodolfo Reyes and Michal Karcz, as well as a few other goodies. These items are all limited to 1,500 copies.
