Thrice is an American rock band from Irvine, California, formed in 1998. The band consists of Dustin Kensrue (vocals, guitar), Teppei Teranishi (guitar, keyboards), Eddie Breckenridge (bass), and Riley Breckenridge (drums). Over the years, Thrice has established itself as one of the most influential and successful bands in modern rock music. Their sound is a unique blend of post-hardcore, punk, emo, and alternative rock combined with thoughtful lyrics and powerful vocals. Since their formation in 1998, Thrice has released nine studio albums with their latest being Palms in 2018. Their debut album Identity Crisis was released in 2001 to critical acclaim and was followed by five other albums: The Artist in the Ambulance (2003), Vheissu (2005), and The Alchemy Index Vols. I & II (2007), Beggars (2009), and Major/Minor (2011). Each album showcased the evolution of their sound as they experimented with different genres ranging from post-hardcore to indie rock. In 2016 they reunited for To Be Everywhere Is To Be Nowhere which was followed by Palms two years later. Both albums received positive reviews from critics and fans alike.
Thrice has been nominated for multiple awards including a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album for Vheissu in 2006 as well as four Kerrang! Awards nominations throughout their career. They’ve also headlined numerous tours around the world such as Warped Tour, Taste Of Chaos Tour, and Projekt Revolution Tour among many others. In 2021 they announced their 2023 tour which will take them across North America with stops at some of the biggest venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado and The Forum in Los Angeles among others.
