Molchat Doma is a post-punk/darkwave band from Belarus, formed in 2016 by bassist/singers Egor Shkutko and Vladislav Abrosikov. Molchat Doma albums mix traditional darkwave elements with modern electronic sounds, and their lyrics reflect themes of death and emptiness. The band achieved mainstream success following the release of their 2019 debut album S Krysh Nashey Tihi, which became the best-selling Belarusian album that year. Since then, they have released two more albums: Religia in 2020 and Monument in 2021. Molchat Doma songs have also become popular hits on streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music. Singles like “Seryoga” and “Glubina” have gained over 10 million listens to each, while “Korabliki” has been streamed over 16 million times.
