Lunch At Allen's is a band consisting of four Canadian artists of folk, pop, rock and country music. The members are Amy Millan of Stars, Andrew Whiteman of Broken Social Scene, Craig Northey of the Odds, and Greg Keelor of Blue Rodeo. Lunch At Allen's has been described as "a folk-tinged supergroup" and their eponymous debut album was nominated for a Juno Award in 2014. The band formed in 2011 when Millan, Whiteman, Northey, and Keelor were all asked to contribute songs to a tribute album for the late Canadian singer-songwriter Ron Hynes. The project led to the quartet performing live together and they decided to form a band. They released their self-titled debut album in 2013. The album was recorded in Toronto and Nashville and features contributions from members of Broken Social Scene, the Barenaked Ladies, the Sadies, and Bob Egan (of Wilco). The band has toured Canada extensively, including appearances at major festivals such as the Ottawa Folk Festival and the Winnipeg Folk Festival. Lunch At Allen's is the talk of the town, and for good reason - their live performances are unforgettable.
