Lacrimosa, founded in 1990 by Tilo Wolff in Frankfurt, Germany, combines gothic, metal, and classical elements. Wolff, a composer and performer, began piano lessons at the age of six and published his debut single, Seele in Not, in 1991 under the name Lacrimosa. Angst (1991) and other early albums established the tone for their dramatic soundscapes. Lacrimosa, known for her theatrical stage performances, immediately gained a devoted European following.
Lacrimosa had her breakthrough with Echos (1993) and Satura (1993), which charted in Germany and Switzerland. They have been performing at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen festivals since 1995, and their dark symphonic approach has earned them numerous prizes. Orchestral arrangements have been created in collaboration with the Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg. Over the course of 12 studio albums and 30 years, Lacrimosa established a reputation for blending gothic romanticism with metal fury.
Their most recent album, Leidenschaft (2022), has singles such as "Alleine zu zweit" and "Halt mich." Live, Lacrimosa features full orchestras, dramatic lighting, and Wolff's unique vocals. Fans appreciate their dramatic, engrossing performances, which frequently last more than two hours. Get your Lacrimosa tickets from Yadara today and witness the gothic symphonic spectacle firsthand.
