Jack Savoretti is an English singer-songwriter and a solo acoustic artist of Italian heritage. His father is Italian, while his mother is half-German, half-Polish. He grew up in London before moving to Lugano, a Swiss city near the Italian border at the age of 13. He began playing guitar at 16 and cites Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and Leonard Cohen as his main musical influences. His songs have appeared in numerous films and TV shows, including One Tree Hill, Grey's Anatomy, and The Vampire Diaries among others. He has toured extensively throughout his career, performing at festivals such as Glastonbury, T in the Park, and V Festival. He has also performed support slots for artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Robbie Williams, and Lenny Kravitz.
Savoretti is a committed philanthropist and has worked with a number of charities over the years, including War Child, Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy, and Teenage Cancer Trust. He is also an ambassador for the charity Help for Heroes. Follow-up studio albums were released in 2015 which was Written in Scars', and ‘Sleep No More' in 2016. His sixth album, 'Singing To Strangers,' was released in 2018. In 2019, Savoretti was awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) by Queen Elizabeth II for his services to music.
