Glen Hansard is an Irish singer-songwriter, musician, and actor who has been a part of the music industry for over two decades. He began his career in 1993 with his band The Frames, releasing their debut album Another Love Song that same year. The band's sound was a unique blend of folk and rock, and they quickly became one of Ireland's most beloved acts. In 2007, Glen released his first solo album The Swell Season which earned him critical acclaim and commercial success. His hit single "Falling Slowly" won an Academy Award for Best Original Song, making it the first song by an Irish artist to win an Oscar. Since then, he has released four more albums including Didn't He Ramble (2015), Between Two Shores (2018), This Wild Willing (2019), and Live from Dublin (2020). Throughout his career, Glen has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music such as Eddie Vedder on "Fallen From the Sky", Bono on "When Your Mind's Made Up" and Markéta Irglová on "If You Want Me".
He also performed alongside Bruce Springsteen at the 2013 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony where he sang "Drive All Night". In addition to performing with these icons, Glen has also been bestowed with several awards including two Meteor Music Awards for Best Male Artist and Best Album; two Choice Music Prize nominations; two Grammy Award nominations; as well as winning three World Music Awards. Glen Hansard continues to make waves in the music industry today. He will embark on a world tour that will take him across North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
