Brittany Amber Howard, better known as Alabama Shakes' lead vocalist, guitarist, and main songwriter Bermuda Triangle (born October 2, 1988[4][5]) is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. He has been the lead vocalist, guitarist, and main songwriter of rock bands Alabama Shakes, Thunderbitch, and Bermuda Triangle. Howard also wrote and recorded a solo album, Kids (2013).
Howard began her musical career performing in various local bands in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, before catching the attention of record producer Jay Joyce who helped her form the Alabama Shakes. The band's debut album, Boys & Girls, was released in 2012 to critical acclaim and commercial success, reaching number three in the US Billboard 200 chart and winning three Grammy Awards, including Best Alternative Music Album.
The band's follow-up album, Sound & Color, was released in 2015 to similar acclaim and chart success, reaching number one on the Billboard 200. Howard has also appeared as a featured vocalist on several other artists' recordings, including Theophilus London's "Love Is Real" (2012), Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk" (2014), and Jack White's "Don't Hurt Yourself" (2016).
In addition to her work with Alabama Shakes and other musical projects, Howard has also pursued a solo career, releasing her debut album, Kids, in 2013. She has also directed two music videos, "Under my Skin" (2013) and "Gimme All Your Love" (2016).
