Blue October is an American rock band from Houston, Texas. The band was formed in 1995 and currently consists of Justin Furstenfeld (lead vocals, guitar), Jeremy Furstenfeld (drums, percussion), Ryan Delahoussaye (violin/mandolin, piano, backing vocals), Matthew Ostrander (guitar, lap steel, keyboards, backing vocals), and Brad Stewart (bass guitar, backing vocals). The band has had nine top 40 singles over their past ten studio albums and is best known for their song "Hate Me", which peaked at number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2006.
