About Oracle Park

Oracle Park, a premier Major League Baseball stadium situated in the vibrant SoMa district of San Francisco, California is where baseball fans gather for unforgettable experiences. For the last two decades, AT&T Park has been proudly hosting the San Francisco Giants. After being known as Pacific Bell Park, SBC Park, and AT&T Park for many years, Oracle Corporation purchased the naming rights to the stadium in 2019. Now it is graced with its name: Oracle Stadium. NCAA Football can host up to 45,000 fans while Rugby sevens and baseball games both accommodate 42,000 and 41,915 spectators respectively. Oracle Park has been home to numerous professional and collegiate American football games over the years. From 2002 to 2013, the stadium proudly hosted what is now known as the Redbox Bowl for college post-season play.

It also served as a temporary residence for the University of California's football team in 2011. During the 2000s, professionally speaking, San Francisco was home to two different football teams: The San Francisco Demons of the XFL and the California Redwoods of the United Football League. Oracle Park's right field wall, famously known as "McCovey Cove", is a lasting tribute to the late Giants player Willie McCovey. This area of San Francisco Bay has made its mark in history and continues to be cherished by many Giant fans today. Fans can experience luxurious comfort in one of the 68 suites, or take their seat on the club level with 5,200 other fans. Oracle Park San Francisco has a reputation for being a pitcher's park and the most pitcher-friendly ballpark in the National League, because the depth of the outfield limits home runs, according to ESPN.

In recognition of the achievements of Giants legend Willie Mays, who sported #24 on his jersey, the right-field wall at this stadium is a majestic 24 feet tall. Beyond the left field bleachers lies "The Coca-Cola Fan Lot". The ballpark is home to an extravagant, 80-foot (24 m) Coca-Cola bottle adorned with slides that illuminate after each Giants home run. Not only this but a miniature replica of the stadium can also be found in the vicinity. On September 23, 2008, the Giants Wall of Fame debuted on King Street as part of a grand 50th-anniversary tribute to San Francisco’s beloved baseball team. Just outside the ballpark are six statues, five of which honor the San Francisco Giants' most legendary players. Among the statues at McCovey Point across McCovey Cove are those honoring Hall of Famer Willie Mays.

It also have statues for the legendary pitcher Juan Marichal, Orlando Cepeda, and Gaylord Perry. In addition to these historical figures is a unique statue depicting a seal bobbing on top of a baseball! These sculptures commemorate San Francisco Giants' legacy and remind us all why we appreciate the game so deeply. The venue regularly hosts a variety of spectacular events, including Football, Soccer, Rugby and exciting Monster Jam shows. From 2003 to 2010, the stadium served as a premier location for an AMA Supercross Championship round. During the summer of 2010, Park X was a stop on American Idol's Tenth Season auditions - an unforgettable experience for many! Since 2015, the stadium has proudly hosted San Francisco State University's annual commencement ceremonies.

San Francisco fans of the stadium can quickly access it via public transit with Muni Metro or Bus, while those in the Peninsula and Santa Clara Valley are served by Caltrain. For residents of other parts of the Bay Area, various ferries traverse San Francisco Bay to get them there fast! Oracle Park is conveniently accessible via the Muni 2nd and King Station right outside, with only 1.5 blocks between it and the 4th & King Caltrain station. To top it off, a Ferry Terminal sits just beyond center field bleachers or look for the nearest parking at Oracle Park.
