Hodgetown is a baseball park in downtown Amarillo, Texas. The ballpark is home to the Amarillo Sod Poodles of the Double-A Central league, and it opened in April 2019. Hodgetown replaced the Amarillo Sox's former home, Amarillo National Bank Sox Stadium. It was constructed as part of a public-private partnership between the City of Amarillo and West Texas Ballpark Partners, LP, the group that owns and operates the Sod Poodles. The park is named for Rick Hodges, a local businessman, and philanthropist who was instrumental in bringing baseball back to Amarillo. Hodgetown has a capacity of 8,500 people. It was constructed at a cost of $45 million, and it is owned by the City of Amarillo. The ballpark was funded through a combination of public and private money, including $15 million from the City of Amarillo and $30 million from West Texas Ballpark Partners, LP. Hodgetown has been recognized as one of the best minor league baseball stadiums in the country. In 2019, it was named the Best Double-A ballpark by Ballpark Digest.
