Bianca del Rio, the stage name of Roy Haylock (born June 27, 1974), is an American drag queen, comedian, actor, and costume designer best known for winning the sixth season of RuPaul's Drag Race. Del Rio was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. After Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005, Del Rio relocated to New York City. Bianca del Rio's drag mother is Kady Z, and she is a member of the House of Ninja. Bianca del Rio rose to prominence after becoming a contestant on the sixth season of RuPaul's Drag Race, which aired in early 2014. She was announced as the winner of the season on May 19, 2014. As the winner of RuPaul's Drag Race, del Rio received a cash prize of $100,000, a one-year supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics, and a crown and scepter from Fierce Queen. In June 2014, Bianca del Rio was named as one of Forbes magazine's "Top 10 Drag Queens in America", and in September 2014, she was named as one of Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People in the World". Bianca del Rio has appeared in a number of films and television shows, including Hurricane Bianca (2016), The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (1994), Will & Grace (1998), and The RuPaul Show (2017). In 2019, Bianca del Rio toured Australia and New Zealand with her comedy show, "Blame It On Bianca Del Rio". Bianca del Rio is known for her cutting wit and sharp insults.
