The Prom is a prom musical with music by Matthew Sklar, lyrics by Chad Beguelin, and a book by Bob Martin and Beguelin, based on an original concept by Jack Viertel. Sklar and Beguelin also wrote the music and lyrics for The Wedding Singer, which premiered on Broadway in 2006. Martin is best known as a co-author of the book The Drowsy Chaperone.
