Patti LuPone is an award-winning actress, singer, and dancer who has been performing for more than four decades. She began her career in the 1970s on Broadway, where she made her debut in the musical The Robber Bridegroom. Her performance earned her a Tony Award nomination and she continued to star in other musicals such as Evita, Anything Goes, and Gypsy. In 2007, Patti won the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in the revival of Gypsy. This was followed by another Tony Award win in 2008 for her portrayal of Rose in the revival of Gypsy. In addition to theater work, Patti has also appeared on television series such as Ugly Betty, 30 Rock, and Will & Grace. She has also done voice work for animated films such as Cars 2 and Tangled. In 2013, Patti released her first solo album titled Far Away Places which was met with critical acclaim.
The album featured covers of popular songs from around the world including "Send In The Clowns" and "Volver". In 2019, Patti received a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album for her work on Anastasia: The New Broadway Musical which she starred in alongside Ramin Karimloo and Derek Klena. That same year she also received an Olivier Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical for her role as Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard at London's Coliseum Theatre. Patti's success continues to this day as she announces plans to embark on a 2023 tour across North America! During this tour, fans can expect to hear some of their favorite hits from throughout Patti's illustrious career including "Don't Cry For Me Argentina", "Maybe This Time", and "As Long As He Needs Me".
