The Gum-Horn, fashioned with a hose, a funnel, and a trumpet mouthpiece, is one of the first informal instruments; it was also created as a parodic imitation of musical instruments. The Latin (referred to in English as fiddlecan) and the violata are bowing instruments whose resonating chambers are constructed of a huge tin for processed ham and paint can respectively.
