13 - The Musical is a Broadway musical with music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown. It tells the story of Evan Goldman, a young Jewish teenager from New York City who moves to Appleton, Indiana after his parent's divorce. The musical follows Evan as he navigates his way through the challenging transition of fitting in at his new school and making friends. 13 - The Musical was written in 2004 and premiered on Broadway in 2008. It featured an all-teenage cast, which made it the first Broadway show to do so.
