Willie Barcena is a Mexican-American stand-up comedian, actor, and writer. He has been performing for over 25 years and has made appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Last Comic Standing, and Comedy Central. Willie’s career began in the early 90s when he was featured in the HBO special “One Night Stand”. Since then, he has released two comedy albums: “Willie Barcena: The Truth Hurts” (2006) and “Willie Barcena: I Gotta Be Honest” (2009). Both albums feature his signature brand of observational humor and have been widely praised by fans and critics alike. In addition to his comedy albums, Willie has also written several books including “The Life of a Comedian” (2007), “The Power of Positive Thinking” (2008), and “The Art of Being Funny” (2009).
His books offer insight into the world of stand-up comedy as well as advice on how to make it in the entertainment industry. In 2019, Willie was honored with the prestigious Los Angeles Comedy Awards Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to the comedy scene.
