Rita Baga is the stage name of Canadian drag queen Jean-François Guevremont from Montreal, Quebec. She was a top-three finalist in the first season of Canada's Drag Race. Jean-François Guevremont was born on October 1, 1985, in Montreal, Quebec. He studied fashion design at LaSalle College. In 2007, Guevremont started Rita Baga drag race career at Cabaret Mado. He performed a medley from the film Sister Act with colleagues Marla and Célinda for Dream's birthday show. In 2014, Guevremont auditioned for the first season of Rupaul's Drag Race but was not selected to compete. Rita Baga took over as the show's consistent host in 2014 for Bagalicious, Cabaret Mado's Sunday night program. As part of Fierté Montréal, she established MX Fierté in 2016, a cross-Canada drag race rita baga pageant. The same year, she traveled to Mumbai, India to perform at the KASHISH Mumbai International Queer Film Festival. Guevremont, Barbada de Barbades, Gaby, Lady Boom Boom, Lady Pounana, and Tracy Trash all took part in the 2017 Ici ARTV documentary series Ils de jour, elles de nuit about drag queens. In 2019, Guevremont competed on the first season of Canada's Drag Race under the name Rita Baga. He was a top three finalist and won the episode "Snatch Game".
